The Makanak addresses these difficulties since the physical, emotional, and economic traumas of the Indigenous People(s) are connected with concurrent disorders like mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, suicidal thoughts, and physical violence issues. In order to save humanity from these traumas, our goal is to stop someone from partaking in a harmful action.
In addition to offering psychological, pharmacological, and behavioral treatment, the Makanak will also offer case management, resources, and education to those who are battling or recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. By fusing our customary healing rituals and practices with contemporary counselling and therapy, the Makanak aims to give a holistic, spiritual, and traditional approach, integrating our traditional healing ceremonies and practices with modern day counseling and therapy.
